This has been a very eventful week in my writing career.  Not only have I created this website, but I also received two very important emails as well.  The first was from an editor at History Today, which said that an article I wrote for them would be published in the September issue later this year.  That is great news because History Today is one of the best history magazines in the world and has been in print since 1951, which means it is one of the oldest as well.  I’m trying not to be overly optimistic, but the way I see it is that if I can get published for them, I probably can get published in any popular history magazine; and I will try my best to make that happen.

I also found out on Thursday that my application to the Authors Guild was accepted.  As a new member of the guild, this website is now listed in their member directory.  This is another huge milestone in my writing career that I have been looking forward to for over a year, and honestly now that it is here, it definitely feels kind of surreal.  But none of this good news means that I’ve reached my goals and can take a break.  I still have a lot of work to do with many articles to complete, a lot of short stories to write, and several books to publish.  I’ve recently started a proposal for my first history book and I’ve written over ¼ of my first novel; I cannot wait to finish them and share them with you all.  My writing career has just begun and I am very excited for the future.
